New T-Mobile VGA PocketPC Phone on the horizon!

T-Mobile Germany recently announced the planned release of the MDA IV, a new clamshell/tablet Pocket PC Phone edition device.

MDAIV
TMobile's latest PDA Phone to be released Summer '05.

The unit will include the following features:

  • 640x480 VGA screen
  • Folding QWERTY keyboard
  • Clamshell or Tablet keyboard/screen arrangement
  • 520 MHz Intel XScale processor
  • Windows Mobile O.S.

I am loving my PDA2K, but I must admit that Windows Mobile, plus the relatively large very keyboard, VGA screen and faster processor has got the xman's attention.

Unless something even more compelling shows up, you are looking at my next "productivity experiment," my geek brothers and sisters!

Greetings to everyone on the board!!
My name is supergadgetman and I come to you by way of Sprint PPC6601 (AKA HTC BlueAngel/PDA2K). Im celebrating my very first post today. Im also celebrating my first Valentine's Day with my beloved PPC6601. :o) Well, moving right along...
As far as the new MDA IV goes; Very nice design if I say so myself. Very reminiscent of Sony's Clie UX50 design. If it wasnt for the lacking OS that Sony decided to go with they would have won the hearts of alot of PPC users. I'm very curious to see how the VGA will look on this screen. Seems small from my interpretation of the picture. I wish I could see this device in someones hand (or mine) so I could get a better idea of its size. Nice to see the PPC Phone Editions starting to finally break the 400Mhz mark. As far as ram goes, I guess well have to wait and see. All in all I cant wait to pop the hood on this baby!!

    Welcome aboard supergadgetman

Why is there no information on the net about this MDAIV gadget. I hope it has a big hard drive mabe 5GB and a very long lasting battery. From the size of it it sounds bigger than the MDA III this will be a great pity as something smaller will be better. Can not wait to see this phone.
