Imate Pda2k
Dear Members,
The following message was posted on Club i-mate at http://www.clubimate.com/forums/tm.asp?m=7184
Dear PDA2k owners,
December 13 has arrived and Carrier Devices is yet to do anything that addresses our frustration. Thus, as we agreed, we will take this campaign into phase II in which we will voice our complaints to individuals working for Carrier Devices through every mean possible. Here are the email addresses:
ahmad.aldulemi@carrierdevices.com ;
shadi.zaytoon@carrierdevices.com ;
ann.degnan@carrierdevices.com ;
maria.merchak@carrierdevices.com ;
anoop.nair@carrierdevices.com ;
youssef.houry@carrierdevices.com ;
feroz.abbas@carrierdevices.com ;
claire.towlson@carrierdevices.com ;
john.williamson@carrierdevices.com ;
sunil.jassal@carrierdevices.com ;
srushti.ghisad@carrierdevices.com ;
sami.awad@imate.com ;
mohammad.khalil@imate.com ;
jim@imate.com ;
raef@imate.com
Please note that the first three email addresses belong to senior managers at Carrier Devices.
For those users who are willing to go the extra mile you can also fax your complaint to the following fax number:
+97143904428
And for those who are willing to go all the way you can SMS the mobile numbers of the three senior managers I mentioned earlier:
Ann Degnan +971505508863
Shadi Zaytoon +971506583993
Ahmad Aldulemi +971505508864
Personally, I will send my complaint through all three methods.
I understand that many members are too busy to sit down and compose the complaint itself, so I wrote the following template for them to copy and send. NONETHELESS, please try your best to write a complaint in your own words instead. If CD receives the same complaint from all users then they will most probably come up with a template answer just as well that doesn't really say anything. Here is the template text:
Dear Carrier Devices employee,
I write you today to express my frustration at the delay in resolving the Bluetooth shortcomings in the PDA2k. Having Bluetooth functionality played a major role in making my decision to buy the PDA2k, which might explain the magnitude of my disappointment when I realized that the PDA2k did not have a functional Bluetooth feature.
At first Carrier Devices told us, PDA2k users, that the upgrade will be available very soon. That was back in early October, but nothing happened hitherto. A patch was released, but the patch did not fix anything. For a while it even seemed that CD is incapable of turning this situation around.
But what is more infuriating is the lack of communication by CD. And I am not talking about the template emails that you send out to your customers telling them that CD is working on an update. I believe that $900+ paying customers deserve more than that.
I need to know when will the update be available so that I can make a decision as whether to keep my PDA2k or return it to the supplier. I need to know if you are really addressing all the faults of the device or if you will release a patch that causes more problems than it fixes.
PDA2k users have been complaining on your forum to no end, and yet no CD employee bothered to address any of our concerns. Some of us decided to reach you in person, and this is why you are receiving my email.
We will be awaiting your reply. If CD decides not to respond however, which is not very unlikely, then we will not have any choice but to express our frustration to other interested parties. A couple of IT magazines already showed some interest in this topic, and I guess that getting hundreds of emails would cultivate that interest even more.
Thank you for reading my email, and I apologize for infringing on your inbox.
Finally, I would like to thank all the members who are participating in applying pressure on CD to come up with a quick and final solution to this outragous situation. I would like to thank especially Outz, jandrsn, alashram, and Mohammad the owner of www.pocketpcdubai.com for their help on this.
Thank you, and let's hope for a satisfactory outcome this time.
